Over the years, MayFlower College has faced the constant challenge of modernizing its technological infrastructure to meet the growing demands of an ever-changing educational environment. A significant increase in the capacity of its student body following a move to a larger space brought with it an urgent need to improve the quality and efficiency of printing and teaching processes. In addition, there were problems with the previous multifunctional equipment supplier, which led to disruptions and high operating costs. The objective was to implement a comprehensive technological solution that would support new teaching methodologies and optimize resource management.

Ricoh Chile has been a strategic partner for MayFlower School for the past 13 years, driving its technological transformation through several key initiatives:

• Modernization of Teaching Equipment: A migration from desktop computers to portable laptops was performed for teachers with Ricoh Device as a Service (Ricoh DaaS) services, improving their flexibility and ability to interact with students both inside and outside the classroom.
• Intelligent classrooms with advanced technology:Classrooms with modern projectors were implemented, allowing visually enriched teaching, and facilitating the adoption of new pedagogical methodologies.
• Optimization of Printing Infrastructure: Older MFPs from the previous vendor were replaced with advanced Ricoh Printing Managed Services solutions, featuring the latest Ricoh Intelligent Multifunctional models and Managed Print Services, which solved reliability issues and reduced operating costs. In addition, two copy centers were implemented with Ricoh Pro 8300 and Ricoh Pro 8200 production printers, which significantly improved print quality and enabled efficient handling of large volumes.
• Use of iPad in Preschool:To modernize education from the initial levels, the center acquired an iPad with Ricoh Services for preschool promoting new learning methodologies, adapting to a digital educational environment, and at the forefront.

Results

• Increased Operational Efficiency: The creation of the copy centers made it possible to handle larger print volumes with faster turnaround times, reducing costs per sheet and improving the production of internal material.
• Improved Service Perception:Technological modernization increased the satisfaction of students, parents, and teachers, who now enjoy a more agile and reliable service.
• Transformation in Teaching: The incorporation of projectors and iPads facilitated the adoption of modern educational methodologies, improving the quality of teaching and promoting an interactive learning environment.
• Cost Reduction and Quality Increase: The change to Ricoh printing solutions not only optimized operating costs but also increased the quality of the materials produced, favoring both administrative management and academic activities.
