History and context
Establishment Lab was founded in 2004 and has since been transforming breast health, aesthetics and reconstruction through the design and development of an innovative portfolio of advanced solutions for breast health and wellness.
Its Femtech solutions are proudly produced in Costa Rica, in two state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities certified by the Medical Products Single Audit Program (MDSAP), carbon-free and LEED Gold certified, and are approved for commercialization of products in more than 85 countries.
Business challenge
Establishment Lab sought to pioneer the implementation of a surgical theater in its manufacturing facility to conduct quality training, demonstrations and certifications. The establishment was successful in completing this project with Ricoh because, unlike other suppliers, Ricoh provided a complete service according to their expectations.
Ricoh Solution
Following a visit that Establishment made to the Ricoh Innovation Louge (RIL) in Costa Rica, Ricoh presents a comprehensive and complete recording, streaming and transmission solution in three operating rooms and a control room for medical training, demonstrations and certifications to create a Theater . surgical adjusted to the needs of the laboratory. Following implementation, Ricoh conducted regular monitoring to ensure the solutions were working as intended and to identify any additional issues or needs so Establishment maintained continuity of operations.
This surgical theater, the only one in the world in a manufacturing plant, includes:
- Integration of multiple television recording solutions with simultaneous transmission capacity in 3 Operating Rooms
- Individualized room control.
- Independent microphone.
- Inhaled transmission of medical signals.
- High resolution cameras.
- Technology that meets high quality standards for surgical applications.
- Video recording and editing for cap
Results
- Establishment Lab achieved a 50% increase in the number of remotely trained doctors.
- Reduction in room rental costs, direct impact on Establishment Lab and Patients.
- The mobilization of the Media Lab team is reduced
- Increase in number of surgeries.
