Cisco tasked Ricoh with enhancing its Corporate Auditorium, which consists of five divisible rooms. Improvements included adding a teleprompter and a higher-quality projector, as well as implementing room monitoring to prevent issues during presentations. This was achieved through Managed Services for Audiovisual Rooms.
History and Context
Cisco has been present in Mexico for over 30 years, with headquarters located in Mexico City. Cisco is a significant company in Latin America, focusing on connecting people through its services, always considering social responsibility. Based in the U.S., Cisco manufactures devices for local and external networks and offers network solution services. Its main business areas are Networking, Security, Collaboration, and Data Center.
Business Challenge
Over the past few years, Ricoh has been Cisco's supplier for printing equipment. The good relationship, product and service knowledge, and service experience led Cisco to seek Ricoh's help to solve recurring issues in their meeting rooms. Cisco was not receiving support for technology tickets in their meeting rooms due to obsolete equipment that would disconnect suddenly, leading to internal escalations.
For several weeks, Ricoh conducted various technical tests at Cisco's facilities for proper advice and implementation of the new project. Cisco was also invited to a Techday at Ricoh's offices, where they could see the proposed solution in use.
Ricoh decided to extend its support to Cisco, seeking a provider offering future-proof equipment and support, compatible with Cisco technology. Now, Ricoh provides not only printing services but also audiovisual services and solutions for Cisco's main auditorium.
