Ricoh recognized in Clarivate Top 100 Global Innovators 2022 list
Tokyo on February 24, 2022 - Ricoh has been recognized in the "Clarivate Top 100 Global Innovators 2022" list, Clarivate Plc, a global leader in providing information and insights to accelerate the pace of innovation, announced today. This recognition is awarded to organizations that demonstrate consistent, above-average innovation excellence and rank at the top of the global innovation ecosystem.
To select the top 100 global innovators, Clarivate analyzes patent trends using a proprietary index based on its own patent data and evaluates companies on five indicators: Volume of Inventive Activity (patents filed in the last five years), Success (percentage of applications approved as patents), Globalization (number of patents applied for in major markets), Influence (frequency with which own patents are cited by other companies' patents) and Technical Distinction. This is the third time Ricoh has been selected since 2012 and 2014.
Based on Ricoh's transformation from an equipment manufacturer to a digital services company, Ricoh plans and executes intellectual property strategies for various countries in which they offer digital services. Ricoh drives innovation that leads to competition and collaboration with various intellectual property stakeholders and promotes its utilization.
