Ricoh achieves 39th place in Carbon Clean200™ 2025 list, leading the way to a sustainable future
Tokyo, March 18th, 2025 – Ricoh today announced that it has been ranked 39th in the Carbon Clean 200™, a list of 200 publicly traded companies around the world that are leading the way to a clean energy future. This marks the seventh consecutive year that Ricoh has been included in the Clean200 since its inception in 2019, moving up ten places from position 49 last year. This recognition reflects a strong commitment to Ricoh's expanding sales of products, solutions, and services that help customers reduce their environmental impact by leveraging technologies such as energy and resource conservation, and power generation services.
The Clean200 list is an annual ranking published annually by Corporate Knights, a Canadian research and media company, in collaboration with As You Sow, a U.S.-based nonprofit that promotes ESG investments. Using the Corporate Knights database, which investigates the proportion of a company's revenue generated by businesses that contribute to the clean economy, the top 200 companies from 35 countries were selected from a pool of 8,359 companies globally in 2025. 32 companies in the IT sector, including Ricoh, earned a spot on the 2025 list.
Ricoh's approach to sustainability is to achieve a sustainable society through the balance of the three P's: prosperity (economic), people (society), and planet (environment). To make this desired partnership a reality, Ricoh has identified seven material issues in two areas: "Solving Social Problems through Business" and "Robust Management Infrastructure", and has set 16 ESG targets to work on solving these issues. Under the policy of aligning ESG with business growth, Ricoh will continue to enhance sustainability efforts.
