Ricoh Latin America acquires Videocorp to further expand its capabilities in enterprise audiovisual communications solutions
Weston, 31st October 2023 - Ricoh Latin America announces the acquisition of the company Videocorp, which has a presence in Chile and Peru and has 40 years of experience in the development and implementation of innovative audiovisual communications projects and critical infrastructure for corporate clients in all sectors. The acquisition also includes Cayman Distribution, a company focused on the distribution of audio and video equipment and accessories.
This acquisition reinforces Ricoh's strategic decision to strengthen its position as a digital services company. With this investment and the team of experts that joins Videocorp, Ricoh also strengthens its commitment to expand its capabilities and "expertise" to provide customers with comprehensive and innovative solutions for audiovisual communication and continue connecting people through new work scenarios.

Videocorp, which has been a pioneer for the evolution and professionalization of the audiovisual sector in Latin America, will continue to operate under its current name as a company of the Ricoh Group. It will also maintain all 169 employees located between Chile and Peru.
Ricoh acquires the following business areas from Videocorp:
- Audiovisual Solutions: Design, Installation, support and maintenance of projects in corporate spaces with intelligent meeting rooms, videoconferencing systems, digital signage, interactive whiteboards, among other solutions for classrooms, auditoriums, training rooms, convention centers, etc.
- Critical Infrastructure: These are IT solutions aimed at maintaining the security of companies with technology such as Video Management System, access control (pedestrian and vehicular), monitoring control, CCTV, fire detection and alarm, structured cabling. This area also includes remote surveillance technology through remote management systems using drones and/or security cameras.
- Cayman Distribution: Leading distribution company in Chile and Peru of solutions, products and accessories associated with audio and video, and currently has the exclusivity of top brands in the sector in both countries. This company was founded by Videocorp with the aim of forming a robust ecosystem of partners and channels to deliver the most innovative audiovisual tools to customers.
